Thank you for considering us as a family for your child.  We respect your strength as you consider an adoption plan and appreciate the opportunity to tell you a bit about ourselves.

We are a warm, caring and loving couple.  We are honest, responsible and believe that hard work helps you achieve your dreams.  As a college graduate of the University of Washington, Michelle chose a path very few women do- Engineering, and is currently working as a Construction Manager.  Cory began his career working full time while doing an apprenticeship program, which involved going to night school while working full time during the day.  When he completed the program he was running projects for his company.  Cory currently works as a foreman on Children Hospital extension project.  Neither one of us shy away from challanges.

Our core values are education, family and self-reliance.  We believe education starts on day one when we bring a child home from the hospital.  We will start by reading stories every night, and talking to them during the day.  We believe in education through seeing and doing, and would combine it with our love for travel.  When he or she learns about American history for instance, we would visit Boston and Philadelphia, and see the sites where history took place.

We have a close-knit family.  We are fortunate that our parents and in-laws all live within 30-minutes of our home.  We love spending time together and gather for family dinner at a minimum every other week.  We love going on trips together such as camping in summer, and somewhere warm every winter.  Our in-laws all have young families with kids of similar ages who can't wait for another cousin to play with.

Most importantly, we want the best for the child we are blessed to love and raise.  We both have hobbies we enjoy doing together, and alone, and we would encourage our child to discover their natural talents.  Whether it's sports, art, music, or dance, we would encourage them to try different things, so they can find their passion.

We look forward to taking our child hiking, biking, and on road trips.  We want to lead by example.  We cannot wait to teach them, and let them teach us, and give them all the love we have to offer, as we embrace them as our child.
